giving back to the community
It is our policy to actively seek opportunities to give back to the community and Voyager's nominated charities, The Salvation Army and Red Cross, on an ongoing basis.
For all bookings made through Voyager during February to March 2010, Voyager donated $1 from every transaction to the Australian Red Cross, amounting to an excess of $27,000.
Voyager is also a long time supporter of the Royal Children's Hospital My Room Charity. Our Managing Director, Nathan Feld, has been involved in fundraising efforts for the hospital over many years. In addition to Nathan's personal involvement, in-house fundraising events are held periodically to benefit the Royal Children's Hospital.
The service provided by Voyager Travel to our Travel Team during the evacuations from Japan was not only over and beyond their requirements from a service level agreement but was mostly provided on an out of hours timeline. The Voyager team also provided detail and assistance in the follow up period to ensure our financial commitment during the emergency had all the required governance. A small team but a big effort.
