In May 2005 we migrated our travel bookings from a traditional booking method of phone/email to an on-line system via Voyager Travel. The system in place is Serko. This change has allowed us to have more control over the travel budget for Perpetual as our distinct group of travel coordinators has been trained in the use of the system which gives them the ability to view and choose the more cost effective ways of booking travel instantly.

We always have the option of reverting to the traditional method of booking if required but the ability to book on-line has empowered our staff to be in control of their expenditure. It is more difficult to decline a flight which is considerably less expensive when it is put in front of you as a real option. The on-line system provides clear choices in terms of airlines and classes/fares on one consolidated screen, thereby making it more difficult to argue against using the cheaper/less flexible fares.”
